MILESTONE MARKER: Western bridge span demolition is finished. Businesses are open during construction. The construction team completed the western bridge span demolition. Work continues with shoring construction for the retaining walls and bridge abutment walls. Carpenters are working off-site to pre-fabricate forms that will be used to build the walls.

Western bridge span demolition will begin the week of May 12; businesses are open during construction. Left turns onto E. Sunny Dunes Road are open from both northbound and southbound directions at the intersection with S. Palm Canyon Drive.

On Monday, May 5, long-term lanes closures begin on South Palm Canyon Drive and traffic will shift to the eastern side of the bridge.Demolition of the western bridge span is planned for May 12.

Median removal on South Palm Canyon Drive in the project area is planned the week of April 28 in preparation for long-term traffic control starting the week of May 5.

Intermittent lane closures planned in the construction area Monday through Friday. Work hours will vary to limit disruption.

Temporary, single lane closures continue through April, and long-term traffic control with lane closures will begin on May 5. Businesses are open during construction.

Single lane closures on S. Palm Canyon Drive continue the week of April 14. Sidewalk demolition is planned on the western bridge span; pedestrian access is available on the eastern side of the bridge.
