South Palm Canyon Bridge Alert: Starting Jan. 5, 2026 

⚠️ UPCOMING TRAFFIC IMPACTS on South Palm Canyon Drive 
The week of Jan. 5, motorists should expect daytime lane closures, followed by a week-long road closure starting Monday, Jan. 12. 

Week of Jan. 5 | Daytime lane closures 
– One lane open on the bridge with flaggers directing traffic. The traffic signal at E. Sunny Dunes Road will be on flash. 
– Work includes digging and saw cutting for gas line installation. 

Week of Jan. 12 | Nighttime road closure  
– Monday through Friday | 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. 
– Full road closure of South Palm Canyon Drive between E. Sunny Dunes Road and Mesquite Avenue. 
– Detour in place via Belardo Road. 
– Palm tree relocation and gas line installation underway. 

Expect delays and plan ahead. Businesses remain open and accessible during construction.
