New Traffic Pattern Begins March 2, 2026

On Monday, March 2, traffic on S. Palm Canyon Drive will shift onto the newly reconstructed western bridge span across Tahquitz Creek.

What to expect with the new traffic pattern:
• Vehicles and pedestrians will use the new western bridge span.
• The eastern bridge span will close for reconstruction.
• Both northbound and southbound traffic will continue with one lane in each direction.
• All turning movements remain available at S. Palm Canyon Drive and E. Sunny Dunes Road.
• Business access remains open on S. Palm Canyon Drive.
• The recommended alternate route is Belardo Road.

Motorists should use caution, follow posted signage and pavement markings, and allow extra travel time while adjusting to the new configuration.
